This climate mod is based on the Piva Weather Mod but with some added improvements such as:
– Mod adapted to 1.28.x version of Eruo Truck Simulator 2
– Removed obsolete files
– Reworked all sky textures – now are in HD
– New lights for the IA traffic
– Darker Nights
This mod is compatible with any map (ProMods, RusMap, Southern Region Map, TSM)
Some features of the model are:
– 62 high-resolution sky textures
– 13 types of weather during the day
– 12 types of dawn
– 13 types of sunset
– 14 types of evening
– Several types of night

Hello, after some time it’s time to release a new version Foggy Weather for ATS!

Have enough from ever-sunny (and rarely rainy) weather? Wan’t more variety ingame? Something new? Something realistic?
Then this is the right mod for you. Discover new weather-effects during passing through different landscapes with different climates. Enjoy the new lighting and be aware of thick fog in San Fran or heavy, brief sandstorm in the desert of Nevada & Arizona. (Just don’t forget to activate your hazard lights and full beam  )
1.7 introduces a new era of ‘Foggy Weather’. Not even climates were added and changed, also the game got a new look, especially while day. Finally fog, mist, smog, dust & sandstorms have a decreased and much more optimized chance to appear and thick fog in California (for sure except in San Fran (hehe)) were removed.

IF California, Nevada & and Arizona got not touched by a map-mod, this mod is compatible with that map-mod. Otherwise it’s NOT!
Exceptions: – ‘Project West (v 1.2)’ – Please activate the add-on for using this map-mod with my weather-mod.
Other add-ons for other map-mods will come with 1.7.2 (Update for ATS 1.6).
This mod aswell are not compatible with other weather mods except HDR correction. But it’s not recommended.
Other mods like real companies, AI-traffic or truck-mods are compatible.
In case the game got updated to a new version & the modification aren’t compatible with:
(Steam client → LIBARY → right click on American Truck Simulator → Properties → Betas tab → temporary_1_5 – 1.5.x for incompatible mods)

No physics have been applied to default Frosty, with the Heavy Winter addon roads are a little more slippery and you’ll need to increase your brake distance.

Works with Promods, TSM, MHA, Rus Map and others, compatible with all map DLCs.

Place Frosty above Realistic Buildlng Lights mod.
Place Frosty above Drive Safely’s Sound Fixes Pack to remove summer sounds like insect noises.

Instructions
There are 3 downloads, Parts 1 & 2 make up default Frosty, it’s not important which order they are in but they should be given a high priority in Mod Manager. If you are using the Heavy Winter addon place it above Parts 1 and 2 in Mod Manager. All files are extracted so just download and place them in your mod folder.

Many of you speculated, if Cattle and Crops contains weather seasons or not. Because of this we created a small timelapse video to give you an impression how the simulation of an entire year looks a like in the game. In this video are 365 days simulated beginning with the first July.

In order to generate realistic weather data we use statistical weather data of the region. However we disabled a few weather effects like rain and fog in this video because otherwise the video would be too turbulent.

We hope you like this small introduction and give us your feedback.
